For those new to the Creek…
Ok, so there is this guy named Dawson who lives on a creek. He doesn’t own it or anything but he’s like the prince of it in the same way Will Smith was the prince of Bel Air. He’s overly self-analitic and emotionally deep but at the same time, 15. A massive Steven Spielberg fan, it’s his destiny to be a movie director.
He has a best friend who lives down the creek named Joey. They have been friends for like, forever and they are inseparable. Joey lives with her sister (and her sister’s black boyfriend who are having a kid but aren’t even married, how crazy is that!) because her father is in prison for trafficing drugs and her mother is, well, dead.
Dawson has another best friend named Pacey. He is the rebel of the group, or at least the general Capeside community as his father and brother Doug are always reminding him.
Then there is Jen. She is the wild child from New York that was sent to live with her grandmother after she was caught with a boy in her parents bed. She will eventually become best friends with Jack, aka the gay guy although he doesn’t arrive till season 2 which I’ve only just got on to in my marathon :p.
